Hello and Happy Holidays!
It’s the night before Christmas Eve and life is a little chaotic in our house. This is a busy season for me at work and Peter and Rose are both battling illnesses. Presents are wrapped and stockings ready to be filled tomorrow night. There won’t be homemade cinnamon buns on Christmas morning but we’ll be together and we’ll have two very happy little girls. We’ll spend time with family near and a little further away. And we’ll be celebrating the birth of Jesus, something that doesn’t require bows or fancy things.
And a few from our annual Great Christmas Tree Hunt:
And one more of these cuties:
This year our church did a Christmas nativity pageant with the kids for the first time. It was lovely and so much fun to watch. The big kids did a fantastic job. The little kids were invited to dress up as animals or angels and be a part of the show. Who knew Pearl’s Halloween costume would come in handy again so soon?
Rose was going to be a ladybug but didn’t make it through the rehearsal so she sat this year out. Pearl tells me that next year they’ll both be angels.
Happy Holidays to you all! Thanks for following along in 2019, for all your comments and book recommendations and for caring about what I have to say here. Wishing you a fantastic holiday season and looking forward to more bookish adventures in 2020!
